A new era for Parkinson’s in Europe

Our strategy reflects the needs of people with Parkinson’s and their families across Europe — we created it in collaboration with people with Parkinson’s and European organisations that work closely with the Parkinson’s community (including via our Parkinson’s Manifesto for Europe).

The result is a strategy with three new strategic pillars to keep us focussed on the most important goals:

1. Defining the impact of Parkinson’s in Europe (Data & Innovation)

2. Helping the European Parkinson’s community grow stronger together (Empowerment)

3. Ensuring the voice of the European Parkinson’s community is heard (Awareness & Visibility)

Our three strategic pillars

1. Defining the impact of Parkinson’s in Europe

Data and Innovation

Parkinson’s Europe will work with others to address data gaps by actively monitoring, engaging and supporting initiatives to create a better understanding of Parkinson’s in Europe. We aim to ensure that the Parkinson’s community benefits from advances in data, research and technology.

2. Helping the European Parkinson’s community grow stronger together

Empowerment

Parkinson’s Europe will build tools to increase knowledge about Parkinson’s for organisations across Europe, helping them to better support people with Parkinson’s in their country. Using digital and technological advancements, we will make sure the voice of the Parkinson’s community is at the heart of all activities that affect them.
