The Parkinson’s Passport has been created by the Parkinson’s Europe team in collaboration with healthcare professionals, our member organisations, and our industry partners.
It provides essential medical information and helps others understand what people with Parkinson’s may need when travelling and staying away from home.
The passport, which relaunched last year in a number of different languages, has been downloaded more than 4.5k times to date.
“We are delighted by the success of the Parkinson’s Passport, having seen the popularity of the printable and digital versions in different languages,” says Parkinson’s Europe’s Director of Communications Laura Vickers-Green.
“All the translated versions contain the same information. So if you are travelling from the UK to France, for example, you can easily complete both the English and French versions to use at different stages of your journey.
“It has been wonderful to hear how the new and improved Parkinson’s Passport is helping people living with Parkinson’s to feel safer and less stressed when travelling. If you have not already downloaded it, we encourage you to do so!”
