‘Kinetics’, a play about the freerunning sport Parkour and Parkinson’s, is set to be made into an educational film thanks to a Kickstarter campaign which raised £20,000.
The play, which toured the UK last autumn, was written by Sue Wylie, a drama teacher who was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s in 2011. After its the initial success, Sue realised it had the potential to be turned into a teaching resource for healthcare professionals.
Discussing the opportunity to adapt ‘Kinetics’ into an educational film, Sue Wylie said: “It’s very exciting and I’m looking forward to looking at a script rather than a spreadsheet.”
