More than 100,000 Canadians living with Parkinson’s will benefit from a new product to be launched in the country.
The drug known as ‘Xadago’, currently readily available in several countries across Europe, helps control motor symptoms and complications over a 24-month period.
Xadago will be the first new oral treatment for Parkinson’s in almost 15 years in Canada. On 21 March 2017 the Food and Drug Administration in the US approved the use of Xadago for the treatment of Parkinson’s as an add-on therapy to levodopa/carbidopa.
